Spring is just around the corner and a new season of growth for CTG is too!

We are pleased to announce that CTG is joining forces with Poss-Abilities, a Pediatric Therapy Center about seven minutes northwest of us.  This is an improvement not just in the physical space, but an increase in resources and convenience, with, importantly no change in the quality of therapy services your children receive.

Poss-Abilities was started by Jean Wetherilt, OTR/L 14 years ago.  This collaboration will bring new leadership; innovation and creativity to the practice of helping children reach their maximum potential.  You’ll find Jean to be a warm, personable professional who with Sarah will lead a combined staff of highly skilled professionals.

Spring is a time for new growth and rejuvenation.  Come grow (and play) with us!

Our summer programs will be held at Poss-Abilities.  We will offer some old favorites including Fine Motor Enhancement and ABC’s & 123’s Handwriting and some exciting new groups as well.  Click below to see more information https://www.poss-abilities.com/registration.html.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) focuses on the child's "occupation" which may include activities that are related to school performance, home performance or play. Fine motor skills such as cutting, coloring, handwriting, buttoning or other self-care skills are often OT goals. CTG specializes in Sensory Integration Therapy, which treats children who have difficulty processing sensory input effectively. These children may be defensive (extremely sensitive) to sensory input, have difficulty regulating their behavior or difficulty knowing where they are in space. They may be sensory seekers or sensory avoiders. They may also have difficulty with motor coordination, planning motor movements, school performance and/or behavioral problems.

Our services include individual occupational therapy evaluations and treatment as well as motor screenings and consultations. Natural environment (home, preschool, etc.) therapy is also available.

Our Occupational Therapists all have expertise in treating children with sensory integration dysfunction and we have therapists certified in administering the SIPT, a specialized sensory integration evaluation as well as therapists trained and certified in the
Therapeutic Listening and Integrated Listening Systems (iLs) Programs. All of our Occupational Therapists are licensed in the State of Kansas and keep current with continuing education throughout the year.
